no, because if the Marines dump the ordnance, they'll get replenished, contrary to the RN which can't afford for example

Seems like a terrific waste of money, the plane can land like this, they have the space to, seems sensible like the other great ideas of the RN, like angle decks and catapults.

I think the Marine sqns that get assigned to Big Liz's air Wing will indeed learn the SRVL, just as they will learn to use the ski jump. Dumping expensive ordnance at sea is both expensive and wasteful, because there is only a limited supply of said ordnance aboard ship and getting replacement missiles/LGBs etc is not as easy as from a land base. The USMC is probably happy for the UK to develop the technique and refine it, then they'll adopt it quietly and without too much fanfare in a year or two.
