Anybody watching the TV show Preacher? I saw the actor who's playing The Saint of Killers being interviewed and his character wears a civil war saber in a scabbard. He says it's the biggest pain in the ass because it always gets in his way when moving around.

They all should carrying their tools of profession

That's because a saber was design to be worn by cavalier soldiers on horseback. When the soldier dismount the sword can be a drag for some because it's worn so low.

Do TV studios, because they are a slowly dying business, still pay for TV shows to be made.

i don't think the real medieval knight would have been as fit,......too busy drinking and wenching
Actually medieval knights don't have to be cardiovascular supreme like today's modern soldier they just have to be strong enough to move and fight in full armor well enough in combat. They do drink and eat a lot because they have the best food given to them by their lords and king whom they serve. Their diet are better than the average serfs eats.
Additionally Wars of the period were more rare. Knights tended to be more like athletes training for either war or tournament. Tournament were regular affairs and a Knight who did well in the tournament could make himself quite the purse. As such a Knight would be spending a deal of his time training, and in daily activities like hunting.
Drinking was common but unlike today drink came in a variety of strengths and often included weaker varieties. Drink was also important for health as water was... well the word cesspool comes to mind. Beer is boiled which makes it safer. Wenching I'll let you have plenty of that going around.
now as to moving in full armor. Knights were trained from a young age to fight in armor and from period. Also keep in mind that knights did not buy off the rack they had their armor tailor made for them. infact medieval manuscripts show knights doing somersaults and back flips in well made armor.
The key differences though are how soldiers are expected to fight. Knights in combat were specialists. Infantry are generalists. Knights would be brought to a fight tat was expected. They maneuvered from a set start of battle. Infantry in modern times are expected to fight on the fly.
for a Knight it was, The Enemy is here we set up and attack.
For modern infantry it's we are here now where are they?
what is important fro the video though is that the weight distribution of a knight is better than the modern infantry fighting load. IE even if they are down to 50 pounds each that 50 pounds for a Knight is all over there body well for a modern soldier it's on the back and chest.

Well After all kinds of abuse from the Netizens they tried AK again with two top of the line US market AK derivatives. the SLR104 which is a Bulgarian AKS 74 clone firing the 5.45x39mm and The Valmet M76 which is a 5.56x45mm Finish AK derivative and Kissing cousin to the IWI Galil, in Some ways a forerunner to the modifications to the new Russian AK12. And... with bated breath and hearts in throats will Kalashnikov pass?

I noticed the band cleverly played a few notes of 'Midnight in Moscow' towards the finish and I briefly fantasized holding a vodka martini in one hand and dancing with member of the marching team who had swapped her uniform into a slinky dress.

I missed your comment about being in Toronto. I was there 6th-8th on my way to New York. I stayed at the Sheraton Falls hotel while visiting the Niagra falls.Bad mistake I think its better from the American side.

I was in Toronto from the 1-4 of Semptember. I was at Niagara Falls on the 2nd at the Canadian side. It was beautiful and my first time there. I think it was a little too touristy with the tacky casinos and hotels. Instead of the Maid of the Mist I went to the Hornblower boat that gets near to the falls. I still kept the red pancho plastic bag as a souvenir.:D
