Chinese infantry fighting vehicles

The green vehicle is longer then the ifv in the rear it's also very tall. The gun system has a shroud that does sudgest a attention to Reduced radar signature but it's just to small for a MBT gun. A number of European nations including France the UK and Russia have been investigating higher caliber IFV guns from 35mm to 57mm it could be the Plan is following that trend. The turret size is large enough that I thought it was a SPH but the more I see the more that falls away. The location of the turret should rule out a manned turret. It maybe that the turret has some secondary armament like a atgm system.

At the airshow last year a 40mm turret with telescoped ammunition was shown, albeit on a different vehicle.

This tracked IFV may be using that 40mm gun.

The British ( Upgraded Warrior, Ajax) and French (EBRC Jaguar,VCBI 2) have both been investing in a 40x255MM Case Telescoped IFV gun that is supposed to be really good, It's even compatible with a modified Bushmaster Chain Guns meaning potential use by future US Stryker IFV, AC130J, M2 Bradley
It makes sense that the Chinese would want that kind of firepower as well.

I'm most interested whether this IFV will feature APS.

If so, it might belong to the long rumored (actually, officially admitted) 4th gen MBT programme and indicate that an entire family of AFVs will be developed for the PLA.

My only hope now is that this isnt some export crap again.

I doubt it; the turret geometries are different. There is a possibility that the gun itself may be the same, but the two are likely from distinct (and possibly competing) companies.

can't see clear enough to tell if it has a launcher system for a hardkill.

It does bare a passing resemblance to the PL01 concept from poland

If it were San colored like the IFV behind it I would say export but flat green???

Not that far off This chassis is tracked which traditionally is favored for medium heavy weight armor, The turret may presumably also have additional armor and or weapons
both guns have a shroud around the barrel that could be the same.

The chassis makes no difference; varying turrets could be swapped on the same chassis. Besides the assumption that the green IFV might have a 40 mm cannon, there is really nothing to suggest that it might use the same gun as the CS/AA5. Adding to this argument are the different turret geometries (the two are entirely different, not just in the extent of armor application).

I said this new IFV may be using the gun in the vehicle turret at the airshow...

Not the turret itself.

Obviously the geometry of the two turrets are completely different even based on the highly blurred image we have.

As for why I think it could be the same gun, well that has more to do with how rare 40mm guns are generally especially within the Chinese MIC so far. So if we are speculating this IFV may be using a 40mm fun there's no reason to think it wouldn't have same core subcomponents as the rare other 40mm gun that we already know of.

No reason it can't be both for export and PLA

I think many of the systems they show for export which the PLA do not adopt are systems intended for the PLA but which were rejected.
At the same time we see many derivations of PLA adopted systems that they end up having an export version of as well.

A bit too early to tell, but there's no doubt more light will be shed on the IFV soon.
