A Dutch couple has brought their adopted daughter back to China to thank the people who helped the girl 6 years ago when she was abandoned, Ningbo Daily reports.

Yu Yongduo, a 68-year-old man from a village in Ningbo city, Zhejiang province, found the child in the grass near a warehouse in March 2011. There was no information with the child about who she is, said Yu.

Yu sent the little girl to a local welfare institution. After being recorded by police, the girl stayed in the welfare institution until she was adopted by the Dutch couple.

The Dutch couple called Yu last month via an interpreter, saying they would bring the child back to China to thank the welfare institution as well as him.
