With all the JV and local integration, I believe it's even more important that China gets its experts involved as early as possible.

Not only would this demonstrate good faith and after-sales service, it also allows China to have a presence in the investigation to keep it honest.

Without a Chinese team involved, there is a risk that there will be no one to fight China's corner, and all the blame gets heaped on China's shoulders irrespective of where the actual blame lies.

The Indonesian Navy may have isolated the cause of failure on their earlier launch. They are confident enough to try again

Indonesia to fire another China-made missile after recent failures
Posted on October 4, 2016
As part of large scale military exercises series in the Natuna Islands region in the South China Sea, Indonesian Armed Forces (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – TNI) chief General Gatot Nurmantyo has ordered for ‘Armada Jaya’ to be repeated after attempts to successfully launch Chinese-made C-705 anti-ship missiles during the serial failed, reports IHS Jane’s.

For the repeat exercise, the Indonesian Navy (TNI – Angkatan Laut, or TNI-AL) will attempt to launch a C-802 anti-ship missile, which has also been acquired from China, from the Todak-class missile attack craft KRI Layang (805).

This will be followed by land-based exercises that will be undertaken by the Indonesian Army on the same island.
