Well, the distinction between these "moderate rebels" and ISIS should now be clear for all to see.

I don't think anyone other than maybe some ideological blinded loonytoons in a certain state department and 5 sided building were in any doubt as to what kind of savages we are dealing with here.

Some "people" (and I use "people" loosely and only because to use "animals" would be an insult of animals) are beyond redemption, forgiveness or mercy, and deserve only extermination. ISIS and their ilk are as clear an example of such disgraces of humanity as there ever have been since Hitler and Tojo.

That's the reason why they're bombarding other places in Syria also. Not a reason to trespass the Turkish border without notice or when it's forbidden. It's hard to say bad things about Turkey in such situation. No matter if they fought against ISIS or sponsored them. It's their right as a sovereign nation. If Putin had said that he sent some of his 'bombardirovschiks' over Paris because there are 'Russian extremist fighters' that would be OK as well?

Do you not see the irony and conflict in talking about Turkey exercising their rights as a sovereign nation, all the while they are in continual violation of Syrian national sovereignty through the unilateral buffer-zone created, and operations conducted, on Syrian territory?

This also isn't the first time Turkey has shot down someone else's aircraft in Syrian airspace; although again they dispute the location. But a pattern is emerging and it doesn't look good for Turkey.

I think your example of bombers over Paris is pretty ridiculous in comparison to the reality of operations in the ME. Par for the course though?

You are acting like the Russians were bombing Turkish soil. They were not.

Turkey isn't Russia's ally - it's the opposite. They hate Russians passionately for centuries.

Its very easy for a fighter jet to accidentally stray over the boarder in a situation like that.

The Turkish military said the aircraft had been warned 10 times in the space of five minutes about violating Turkish air space. Officials said a second plane had also approached the border and been warned.

"The data we have is very clear. There were two planes approaching our border, we warned them as they were getting too close," a senior Turkish official told Reuters.

"We warned them to avoid entering Turkish air space before they did, and we warned them many times. Our findings show clearly that Turkish air space was violated multiple times. And they violated it knowingly," the official said.

It doesn't look like an accident. It looked like they pushed it for a long time all over the world and thought it will be as always - who cares about X, we're Russians!

In fact, the Turks are hardly in any position to be using that line of reasoning, since unlike the Russians, Turkish warplanes have not only also violated Syrian airspace, but had in fact also bombed Syrian soil.

Blame Syrians fpr not reacting. Not Turks. If Syrians had shot down Turkish plane on combat mission in their airspace you wouldn't argue too much. Am I right?

But they are in for a very rude awakening if they think they can bully the Russians like they did the Syrians. The Russians will not take this lying down.

Sure. If Japan had done the same or Poland they would be ISIS supporters? Pretty powerful way of making up facts and distorting reality. Turkey is the ONLY country outside of Syria that fights there for their own not some imperialistic plans on the map like US/Russia/France (with two first of the former countries I mentioned ceated this mess).
