J-10 Thread IV

Is J10 still in the finalization stage or is it already entering service in small batches now?
The J-10 has been in service for years. It first flew in 1997 and first went into service I believe in 2005.

In 2014, I believe the PRC had well over 250 aircraft.

It is the new, J-10B that is beginning to enter service.

LOL, typo, I meant J10B.
I know it's probably almost or already finalized, but is it officially in mass production or still in early stage small batch at the moment?

It is rather surprising to see how long it took to see J10B to come to fruition, consider F16 had upgrades much more often than J10. Although one could argue that F16 was a plane during the cold war, but given China's current big budget, they could do it a lot quicker.

I believe the first production aircraft were sighted in late 2013.

There have been more production aircraft sighted, but they are few and far between. This thread has a few of those pictures on preceding pages.

Here's a couple:

@ Jeff ... small correction !
This aircraft '1035' is not a serial bird but the fifth prototype (esp. for the WS-10B).

Besides that the first serial J-10B was spotted at CAC on 13. December 2013 .... and following the four prototypes (1031, 1033, 1034 + 1035) the next pre-serial was seen on 12. ‎June ‎2013.

siegecrossbow hello, no I really do not know but you better keep confidential from my point of view; and as you know we are constantly under surveillance by the British since several years ago, they manage to get into our forums and other actions that are irrelevant to not lose track of it.

Don’t worry about the British my friend; they do not care what we (South Americans) post in forums. I am more worried about
