Ten-year-old Cili Zhoima and Cili Yangzom, twin sisters of Tibetan ethnic group, were born into a common family in Deqin, a beautiful county located at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain, which has an average altitude of 6,000 meters. Their father opens a barbecue store, while mother is a farmer. Zhoima, the elder, gets good grades at school and her favorite class is English. Her wish is to go to college in Beijing or Kunming, and to be an English teacher in the future. Yangzom, the younger one, wants to be a doctor. Her most yearning places are Shanghai and United States. A total of 1,162 students attend the Deqin No. 1 Primary School now, 97 percent of whom are of Tibetan ethnicity. The school provides board and lodging, waiving tuition and all lodging expenses. In recent years, new classes such as Tibetan language, Computer, Dance are brought to curriculum of the school, which enhances adolescents health and copious life. (Xinhua/Lin Yiguang)
