I see these type of photos every now and then from China. Question..Is there a social dating abyss in China? What's going on? I know the male female ration is out of whack.

What's going on is that Chinese parents love to meddle in their kids' lives, and insist on "helping" them find a spouse. In China, there's a saying: marriage is not between two people, but rather two families.

You might also be surprised to learn that most of those ads are from the parents of women, and they're almost always women with higher education.

I kinda sorta knew your first statement. But the last part of your post is surprising to me.
