Popeye's translation.. seems the last runner up was challenged to being dowsed with ice water.. which to me is stupid. If you want to give to ALS..just do so..enywho somehow she escaped with dry hair & clothes and her make-up is perfect. And the paper towels seem to be dry..AMAZING!! Anyone think they took the "after" pictures first? I do.

I think the whole ice bucket challenge is stupid. If anyone wants to donate to ALS go ahead..make your day. No need to dump a bucket of water on your dome.

It's 88F here right now with the same humidity..steamy!

It's stupid enough that the son of Cambodian Prime Minister, Mr. Hun Many, also join the game!

I don't really get it. What's the point of the game, it seems being played globally, why?

It's more for awareness than anything else. If people silently donated money, how many of us would know that this thing called ALS existed? The donation received this year is much much higher than previous years because of this publicity.

On the other hand, I also feel that this "challenge" has been drifting away from the original intent. A lot of people seem to see it as "the thing to do". Nevertheless, the impact of this publicity does greatly benefit the ALS research in the end, and that's all that matters.

Horses are seen at the Shandan Horse Ranch in Zhangye City, northwest China's Gansu Province, Aug. 23, 2014. The Shandan Horse Ranch, which locates in the Qilian Mountain's Damayin pastureland, covers an area of 219,693 hectares. The history of the ranch can be traced back to 121 B.C. when famous Chinese general Huo Qubing established the ranch specially to herd horses for the army of China. Since then, the ranch, which was well-known for the Shandan horse hybrids, has therefore been the base of the military and royal horses through several dynasties in the past. With the weaker demand of horses in the army, the ranch was transferred to China Animal Husbandry Group in 2001. (Xinhua/Guo Qiuda)

Now, all she needs is to put on a long white gown and cover her face with that long straight black hair of hers and I'm thinking "The Ring" or "Ringu" (original Japanese version) movies in my mind.:p

To be honest at first I thought it was dumb too.. I mean why bother with the silly activity .. just write a check to the ALS foundation and shut up!!

With that being said I have however since changed my mind. Why you asked? because I forgot to take 'human silliness, bragging and playfulness into the equation'.

The truth is however silly this lil activity is, the fact is it has brought much needed attention to the ALS cause and that donations to the ALS Foundation have increased significantly because of the ice bucket challenge gone viral.
So I guess the mantra of whatever it takes to make it work for a good cause I'm all for it.
If it means riding a donkey down a water slide to make more people donate than more power to it.
