Sounds like perhaps someone verbally said something at the exericses...but any official nnouncement is still premature.

They have a pretty strict protocol about these things.

PLAN's invited! The navy spokesman had to say those words that because officially it has not been announced to the public yet.

So how did it end? Did the Chinese sailors seize his camera or boot him off the ship?

It's embarrassing to see pseudoscience on the Chinese hospital ship. Suction cups and acupuncture? Why don't they just sprinkle some holy water on the patient or give them some homeopathy pills, that'd be just as effective! I thought modern China rejected those old superstitions and focused on "scientific development".

I think rejecting traditional medicine would be a form of cultural destruction. Whether it is effective or not is another matter, but at least it isn't promoting anything particularly dangerous to society which religions do. I think the worst part about traditional chinese medicine is the utilization of some rare animals, but that is not the mainstream, and can be cut out while maintaining the core of the practice.

If traditional chinese medicine was meant to take the place of modern medicine then that would be a problem. But if it is only supplementing it, then what's the problem? As a patient, I'd probably prefer to have both accessible rather than only modern medicine.

I'm asking mainly because a chart of the KDX-II destroyer Chungmugong Yi Sun-sin was put put up in our kitchen for about three years, until last summer when my wife refurbished the kitchen :)
