Can't blame this one on Mainland Chinese.

Interesting director Michael Bay was recently attacked while filming Transformers 4 in Hong Kong by Triad gangsters expecting to be paid for filming in the area. Hong Kongers were trying to blame that on Mainlanders. Bay is now filming in multiple locations on the Mainland. I don't think he'll be getting that kind of trouble there.

Saw Gravity and Captain Phillips last week. Both were very good films and I would reommend them both. Clooney and Bullock did a great job and were virtually the only actors in the film. I expecially liked Clooney's role and the way he played it. Captain Phillips was very good, though it did take quite a bit of license versus the actual stroy. Still, as a movie it was a god one.

We are going to see "Ender's Game," today with the grand sons. I read all of Orson Scott Card's books back in the 80s so am interested to see how the movie plays out.

I thought it a VERY GOOD adaptation of the book. They took some license, but it was very well done. I believe anyone who read and liked the book(s) will like the movie. We REALLY enjoyed it, and I will probably see it again next week with another batch of grandkids...right before we go see the new THOR movie! LOL! Double feature next week!

BTW, my friend, I notice you blew through the 3,000 post ceiling! Well done!

I don't want to ruin it for you so I'll just say that I thought the second Thor movie is much better than the first as well as a little bit of humour thrown in for good measure.

GREAT! I am really looking forward to it. Have seen all the trailers and cuts.

I'm jealous you already got to see it! We will see it on Saturday, with a couple of my sons and grandkids and son-in-laws.

Some really good films coning out between now and the new year.

I am really looking forward to them...including 47Ronin.

Just came back from seeing Thor The Dark World. I enjoyed it more than Iron Man 3. It makes me wonder people who have seen Marvel movies before should know to stay and watch the credits but they still leave when they roll. Just to let you know there are two scenes you have to stay for. One is early on and the other at the end.

THOR: Dark World was absolutely great! I liked it even better than the first one.

There were some very good and tasteful humor scenes in the movie to go along with it. Loki had a couple of classics in that regard. Anyhow, it was really good and it will definitely find a place on my iPad.

Very recommended.

And a LOT of good movies coming up too. Here's what I will see between now and the end of February, 2014.

Hunger Games: Catching Fire
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
47 Ronin
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit
I, Frankenstein
Lone Survivor (True Story by the lone Survivor of Operation Redwings, about Lt. Michael Murphy, Posthumous MOH winner)
The Monument Men
Robocop (2014)
