You should have also quoted this point:"Of course USN carriers have lot more parking slots due to different parking system." I was merely pointing out that the ramp itself won't take out so many parking spaces as it is mentioned to take. That Russian originated system isn't so flexible as USN system.
Well, I did refer to it by indicating that the aircraft could be parked at an angle like the U.S. carrier. But the point is that there is a lot of difference in what can be spotted on a CATOBAR bow vs a STOBAR, either when launching from one forward position, or when spotting both sides.

Exactly...with that ski ramp the bow is useless for spotting (parking) aircraft during recovery and other events.. That along with a smaller hangar reduces the amount of aircraft that can deploy aboard a carrier.

PACIFIC OCEAN (April 12, 2013) The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) transits the Pacific Ocean behind the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser (T-AO 187) as it conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59).

CV-16 should be able to deploy with about 30-36 aircraft of all seaborne types when she becomes fully capable..

Very nice indeed. Perhaps they will be able to build and introduce these more quickly than the normal J-15. This aircraft will need to be trialed and qualified board the Liaoning. I look forward to seeing that.

In a 24 fleet carrier squadron how many do you think will be twin seat?

Depends on how they use them.

If they develop a dedicated EW variant, I think you would see four of those in addition to the 24.

If they have a "E" and "F" kind of configuration and mission assignments like the U.S. does for the Super Hornet, you may see an entire squadron of each. Perhaps, though, 16-18 single seat and 6-8 dual seat aircraft, and up to a 12-12 split.

What we have seen in recent days J-15's loaded with anti-ship, ground attack weapons and a buddy refueling pod is that the PLAN is going to make the most of the Liaoning and the J-15 despite its shortcomings with regard to the ski jump. It has certainly help to clarify a few things and debunked a few myth's about how the Liaoning will be operated and its capabilities in the future.

I wonder if PLAN might intend to use two seat j-15 as a mini-AWAC in a manner similar to how Iranians used F-14s during the Iran Iraq war.

Well that's assuming J-15 cannot take off from the ski jump with MTOW.

But whether it can or not, the benefit of buddy refuelling will be invaluable.

That was a matter of necessity rather than design, and the PLAN will have access to z-8AEW and Ka-31 for liaoning which are much better suited for AEW although their operating altitude is somewhat lower.
