Christ, don't these people have insurance???

That is exactly what I was thinking. Anyone know if auto insurance is required in China?

Personally , I'd never drive a car without auto insurance.

I know in California if you have an accident without insurance your car will get impounded and that will cost you a few hundred bucks to recover your car...plus any fines. Then in order to drive your own car you have to file an SR-22

...for hi-risk drivers.. That can cost you up to $2000 USD or more. Here in Iowa depending on where you are caught it could cost you up to $500 plus court cost and fines.

According to my mother-in-law, apparently it's not a requirement by law. Or at least, it's not enforced.

That is of course completely retarded, and contributes to incidents like the above.

Some of us Chinese are just too hot tempered when it comes to minor car accidents. Oh well at least they get to practice on their fighting skills.:p

I'm sure road rage knows no racial or political boundaries. For every fist fight happening over on China's road I bet there is probably similar happening in every country on Earth as well.
