I don't think they need to worry about Iranian POW camps. I think they should worry more about SERE training and how to handle diplomatic negotiations for prisoner swaps.

But does Iranian loitering IR missiles have the ability to engage fighter jet targets at 30k feet?

I posted it few days ago (below) Iran unveiling the use of such a drone/missile that uses IR to lock onto aerial targets. But I was under the impression that the targets were other drones (like Hermes).

Turns out. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve does not have 415 million barrels of usable oil.

There is only 255 million barrels.

Go any further and Strategic Petroleum Reserve might cease to exist. By Mid July, there will only be 83 million barrels left of usable barrels.



The SPR has been drawn from 9 times. 4 more than what the SPR was designed for and 24 years longer than the projected life span.

Thought experiment: could the usa be sending all these troops to secure the gcc states in a post-ceasefire situation?
Since they have no defence left and the US can’t restock , this is stationing is repayment and deterrence in an offramp deal.
