Who? And also, the fact that people getting killed in a war is getting so much airtime is weird. Isnt that part and parcel of being in war? Can you imagine if this war goes on for months how maby times they need to announce a military offiders death?
I guess people think its important because Isra. isnt doing the same, so its easy to take advantage of thr situation and make a death sound more important.

This Is something I’ve been wondering about. Why do these ships just sit around running out of resources and means to survive? What are they waiting for? Surely they can cut costs and turn back to port?

You can watch Sal's full video on this. The short answer is no they can't. They're not allowed to dock because the ports don't want potential targets anchored dockside.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but got a prediction for you guys and gals to chew on:

A lot of Ukrainians will be serving in GCC militaries as contractors, advisors, mercenaries — or whatever you want to call 'em — in the coming years.

In fact, I won't be surprised if the government in Kiev and certain GCC sheikhdoms agree to have entire Ukrainian battalions or even brigades

Arab militaries have historically contracted mercenaries from Africa, especially the Arabic-speaking Africans (Sudan, Somalia), Pakistan + Egypt for more technical roles, and US/W.Europe for management roles. No shortage of these guys. UAE, I have heard but cannot confirm, hired mercs from LATAM.

Iran launched a cluster munition missile attack on the Israeli oil refinery in Haifa. The missile strike caused power outages in several areas of Haifa and the suburb of Kiryat Haim. The attack involved various types of missiles, possibly including heavy Khorramshahr-4 missiles.

That just seems a quick way to get the Russians to increase the support for Iran. Better to have those killed in the Gulf and Israel rather than risk have them go back to Ukraine with more training and experience and having to deal with them since the chances of survival in the Gulf might be better, as long as they don't actually try to invade Iranian territory.

Edit: Latest rocket warning seems to include Dimona

For the first time, Iranian air defenses damaged an American F-35 fighter jet with an unknown missile in central Iran. Iranian Majid air defense systems or Izdeliye-358/359 missiles were presumably used. The F-35 was hit by a heat-seeking missile. The damaged F-35 made an emergency landing at an airbase in the Middle East. The F-35's downing demonstrates the aircraft's high survivability and vulnerability to simple air defense systems. Had Iran used any more powerful air defenses, the aircraft would have inevitably been shot down.

Supposedly the 358 missile is powered by jet engine, this could be why EODAS did not warn the pilot.

Considering how slow the drone missile is, I doubt it was an opportunity shot. There must have been other sensors ahead acquired the F-35 first and gave enough time for the shooter to respond. Makes me wonder if a network of EO sensors may serve as good enough substitute for early warning radar against stealth.

I guess US/Israel can stay in high altitude to avoid this particular type of missile, but if Iranian has a networked system then they may have other means to threaten a F-35.
