Well, no, I didn't think that's that funny at all. I think it's funny how strongly they reacted and revealed to the world how ugly they are but I fully believed that acid bath thing is very accurate.
And let me just say, it's not that she's Chinese that upsets them. I think if she was fully Chinese, they wouldn't react so hard; probably some people would say that the US needs to be more careful who we let in to use our resources, but that's about it. What hurts them is that a very attractive woman who they all see as white, chose China over the US.
In middle school, I saw a documentary about segregation in the US after the Civil War and a line particularly stood out at me. The white community was struggling but adjusting to the changing status of African Americans until one day, everything became violent and a man was lynched and burned. Why? Because a white woman fell in love with him. The documentary said, "He had taken the last most thing sacred to the white man and that was the white woman."
