I don't think you can tell if a glass is coated or not without seeing light going through it and reflected from it from multiple directions. Is there any news on ITO coating for the cockpit? The cockpit seems to be straight glass.

From some pictures I can see the F35 cockpit is tinted way darker than the J35 or J20I don't think you can tell if a glass is coated or not without seeing light going through it and reflected from it from multiple directions.
That's because those pictures are taken from a specific angle with light reflected in a specific angle. Here are some photos where F-35 looks much lighter. From some pictures I can see the F35 cockpit is tinted way darker than the J35 or J20
Yeah I've heard they have ito on airliners so it's not top notch super tech. Also thanks for the pictures, they're really goodThat's because those pictures are taken from a specific angle with light reflected in a specific angle. Here are some photos where F-35 looks much lighter.
This F-35's glass looks like plain uncoated.

Then this F-35, slightly darker.

This J-35A is darker than the two F-35 photos above.

This J-20 is darker too with green and purple tints, typical of multi-layer coating like you would see in high end camera lenses.

The bottom line is that glass coating is not some super tech nowadays. It should be taken for granted that any decent fighter jet from strong industrial countries have cockpit coated.
By the way, did anyone notice, no. 82 is the only one with the larger tail rudder?
I slowly get the feeling at least this one is a refurbished prototype.

I mentioned it when we first saw photos of #82 right after the parade (around a month ago), maybe you missed itI think this is pretty much a confirmation that #82 is a prototype re-painted in an operational scheme, and thus it's not out of the question for some of (if not all of) the others we know (80, 81, 93) to be prototypes also?
By 'this' in the previous sentence I mean the rudders running the full length of the vertical stabs.
