They're cannibalizing not only their own vassals, allies, partners, etc. but also cannibalizing their own economy now.

That's a fair take. Though a part of it is also the contempt that Trump inspires in more traditional members of the Western political class.

To a lot of them he is a despicable conman, and there is nothing Trump can do that'll please them, except maybe suicide.

The hostility is impossible to hide:

All to fund tax cuts for the rich.

That I'll have to politely disagree with: Trump is a populist, and if he was serious about tax cuts for the rich he would've convinced Congress to meaningfully slash rates on capital gains already.

-Didn't achieve "nuclear non-proliferation" in Iran
-Didn't beat the Russians
-Didn't beat the Houthis
-Patriots Running super low and running out of rare earth to make more
Lmao US/NATO are like the late Qing, propagandized itself to believe it's unbeatable and superior only to be defeated by middle powers.
These missiles like Patriot low production was known as well its effectiveness to Putin when he said Russia missile production is comparable to the entire world early 2023. Putin showed an hour public conversation almost entirely talking about drones as some of these smaller drones have capabilities of much larger aircraft like finding signal and radio intelligence in battlefield environment.
combine drone and missile strike will be very difficult/expensive to defeat. when missiles can loiter and drones do the recon/deception.

Putin: Russia produces many times more missiles than the US, such as Patriot

As for air defense missiles in general, and for various purposes, Russian production is comparable to the entire world.

US 'click to cancel' rule blocked by appeals court

July 8 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court blocked a rule that would have required businesses to make it as easy to cancel subscriptions and memberships as it is to sign up, saying the agency that created it did not follow protocol.

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission, which passed the rule under former Democratic Chair Lina Khan, failed to conduct a preliminary analysis of the costs and benefits of the rule, said the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis. The rule was set to take effect on July 14.

A spokesperson for the FTC declined to comment on Tuesday.

The rule would have required retailers, gyms and other businesses to provide cancellation methods for subscriptions, auto-renewals and free trials that convert to paid memberships that are "at least as easy to use" as the sign up process.

It also aimed to keep companies from making consumers who signed up through an app or a website go through a chatbot or agent to cancel.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a trade group representing major cable and internet providers such as Charter Communications (CHTR.O), opens new tab, Comcast (CMCSA.O), opens new tab, and Cox Communications [RIC:RIC:COXC.UL], and media companies like Disney Entertainment (DIS.N), opens new tab and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD.O), opens new tab are among those suing to block the rule.

China should stop dumping electricity into Vietnam too.

I also think the dumped steel isn't really meant for Vietnam but passing to US in various form, raw or produced product. This is a sign that Vietnam bending to US pressure to save itself at the cost of China. China should retaliate, of course silently by turning off some hydro turbines. And maybe also delay the recent railway cooperation.

The U.S. president was recorded speaking at a private fundraiser in 2024 about his conversations with Putin and Xi.

"With Putin I said, 'If you go into Ukraine, I'm gonna bomb the s*** out of Moscow,'" Trump is heard saying, recounting his version of their conversation. He also said with Xi he also threatened to "bomb the s*** out of Beijing" if it invaded Taiwan, the self-governing island that China claims as its own.

That seems like strategic clarity to me if he said that. All the Taiwanese DPP lapdogs will start to party.

On another note, if he threatened to bomb the "sh**" out of Beijing, Did Xi threaten to Bomb the living hell out of Washington?
