The best nuclear power plants in the world will be built in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Likhachev said
Rosenergoatom presented three unique Russian nuclear power plants to the Federation Council
The exhibition "Pride. Inspiration. Dream" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the domestic nuclear industry opened in the upper house of parliament.
The exhibition demonstrates the rich heritage of the pioneers of nuclear energy, the modern achievements of the Rosatom State Corporation - from the military-industrial complex to the development of information digital technologies and environmental solutions, and also talks about the social activities of the state corporation.
One of the central themes of the exhibition was Russian nuclear power plants and their significant contribution to the development of the country.
The first participants in the virtual tours of the nuclear power plant, conducted by employees of the Rosenergoatom concern (Electric Power Division of the Rosatom State Corporation), were the Chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko and the General Director of the Rosatom State Corporation Alexey Likhachev.
The guests were shown three unique facilities: the Beloyarsk NPP - the only one in the world with fast neutron nuclear reactors, the Novoronezh NPP - the first in the world with a generation III+ power unit, and the Floating Nuclear Power Plant (FNPP), which is based in the city of Pevek in Chukotka - the first in its class.
Valentina Matviyenko emphasized that today peaceful atom helps Russia develop the Arctic, create safe and economically advantageous routes, and strengthen the economy. According to her, no other country has such projects as Rosatom. The speaker of the Federation Council also recalled that Rosatom creates new super-strong environmentally friendly materials, develops quantum technologies, nuclear medicine, and a number of other areas.
"One of the tasks of the general scheme is the formation of fourth-generation nuclear energy based on systems with fast-neutron reactors with a closed nuclear fuel cycle. The technology provides a virtually infinite fuel base and allows us to solve the problem of accumulating spent nuclear fuel. These solutions will form the basis of our exports starting in the mid-2030s," said Alexey Likhachev, head of the Rosatom state corporation, speaking in the Federation Council.
Let us recall that in August 1945, the Special Committee on the Use of Atomic Energy was created in the USSR, which launched the Soviet atomic project. And today, 80 years later, Rosatom remains the global world leader in the field of atomic energy. It is the only company in the world operating along the entire chain of the nuclear fuel cycle.
The Rosatom exposition will close on May 21.

Engineering is the basis for Russia's development
Dmitry LIVANOV, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation:
– There are about 1.7 million future engineers studying in 537 higher education institutions. At the same time, in the budget admission of last year, students enrolled in engineering and technical fields and specialties were already about 50 percent. Thus, every year, more and more students appear in the structure of control figures for admission to budget places specifically for technical specialties. From the above, it is clear that the training of engineers is a priority.

Raise an engineer
The golden age for engineering in the USSR was the 1960s and 1970s - a period of dynamic industrial growth. For example, in the 1970/71 academic year, there were 805 higher education institutions in the USSR, with more than 4.6 million students studying, 43.6% of whom were in engineering and technical specialties.

Payload: Russian Engineers and AI Develop Reusable Rocket in UAE to Compete with SpaceX Falcon 9
A team of Soviet space industry veterans is creating a new launch vehicle. But not for Russia
Aspire Space, a company founded by Russian engineers, has announced it is moving operations to Dubai, UAE, to develop a reusable rocket that could compete with SpaceX's Falcon 9. The project combines the experience of veterans of the Soviet space program with cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology.
Sergey Sopov, former head of the Sea Launch cosmodrome and participant in the Buran and Energia programs, became the technical director of Aspire Space. Together with a team of engineers from post-Soviet countries and the Noyron neural network (developed by the LEAP 71 startup), the company plans to create a rocket with a lifting capacity of up to 15 tons.
LEAP 71, based in the UAE, uses AI to design liquid rocket engines. Last year, the company announced that it would build two types of rocket engines from scratch: liquid and air-wedge. The development took no more than three weeks for each type. The prototypes were produced by contractors in Germany using 3D printing technology. Tests were conducted at a test site in the UK.
The first launch of the rocket is planned for 2030, and testing of the second stage engines should begin in the third quarter of 2026. The project is financed by the personal funds of the founders of Aspire Space, and its total cost is estimated at $1 billion.
The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to launch research and development (R&D) on two major aviation projects in 2026: a shortened version of the MS-21 aircraft, the MS-21-210, and a new wide-body long-range aircraft (WLLRA). This was announced on July 2 by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov during a speech at a meeting of the Federation Council dedicated to issues of technological sovereignty and industrial development
7 years without breakdowns - and this is only the beginning: Liotech launched a new generation of batteries with a record mileage
"We are not reinventing the wheel — we are improving it," says Valeriy Yarmoshchuk, CEO of Liotech. "The new generation of batteries is a response to business needs: more efficiency, lower maintenance costs. And yes, we are preserving everything we are valued for: production in Russia, 24/7 support, and recycling of 95% of materials."
- 14.04.2025
Why not China?
— While Chinese analogues lose capacity in the cold, our batteries operate at -30°C without losses.
— Instead of a 3-4 year warranty (like most imported ones) — 7 years, and service centers are located in the Russian Federation.
— Save 25% on logistics and customs: while others wait a month for deliveries, you receive equipment in a week.
Be the first to do so!
Until the end of 2025, order a trial batch of new batteries with a 15% discount and a free audit of your current system. And if you decide to switch from Chinese analogues, we will return 10% of the contract as a bonus for maintenance.
It's not just a battery. It's confidence in the future.
