I am curious, you appear personally offended by Indian slander. Did an Indian guy take your girlfriend? Why do you take Indian attacks so personally?
Coz they keep mudslinging without stopping? This is amplified by the fact there are 700 million of them on the internet in the English speaking space. Everyone has a limit to their patience. There's a reason why their rep has gotten to this point. You can look at this forum and see anti-India sentiment isn't exactly limited to me.

I find it rather unfair we are supposed to put up with this and think like its just nothing. Its not productive to care what they say but its hard to ignore with the scale they are doing it. India considers China an enemy and if twitter is an indication of anything, even a lot of those "western" accounts that are bashing China and its people could be actually run by Indians. While I have stated soft power is overrated, reputation still is something and they are working hard to try to attack it on spaces that China cannot even access to counter them. Sometimes they even try to say they actually speak for us and we can't say anything coz of muh ccp. Considering how they have banned 8000 accounts during Sindoor, it makes it even more offensive coz they want to attack you freely but cry for censorship when its their turn to get hit.

I was looking at videos of Sanda which has grown in popularity because people can see it is working in the UFC. And then there was this comment saying, ackshully this is Indians teaching China how to fight coz the shaolin temple was allegedly found by some Indian so China should know who their father is. While its a minor comment that can be laughed at, imagine everywhere you go these sort of things pop up when you are not even actively looking for stuff with India. They will eventually get to you. I can simply choose not to watch Palki Sharma videos but its much harder to control going somewhere else and they still show up. A lot of times I have noticed, when India has some supposed achievement, the first thing they say is, I bet China is feeling jealous and nervous right now! Like the thing is about India yet they still manage to take a swipe at China and its people. When Huawei makes advancements, most of us would go this a new development for China's semiconductor industry and a proud achievement. Whatever the west thinks is not really that important compared to China's progress.

I know people in the Philippines bash China yet I don't care. There are way less of them and also as much as the country is hostile to China, I would argue they don't seem to show the same level hate by making every waking moment to bashing China and its people in every space of the internet. They have a lot of other things to care about.

Let me guess... In London they think they can convince the Chinese that US national security concerns override Chinese national security concerns hence why China has to export rare earth metals that can only be used for the US military to be used against China while any dual-use technology that China wants to buy is non-negotiable.

What happened to Marcos? Wasn't he extremely anti-China?

Marcos: ... tonight's event has a deeper meaning. This project can memorize 50 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the People's Republic of China. Half a century of freindship and shared history, all reflected here, in this world's oldest Chinatown.

Fun fact. The Philippines' biggest cultural export, Jollibees, was founded by an ethnic Chinese Pinoy.

Argentina Arrests Ship’s Cook, Seizes Half Ton of Cocaine Bound for Europe
The 20 Filipino seafarers from the ship were detained and questioned. Media reports say the ship’s cook, Jonathan Caputero, confessed to his role. The police have arrested him, making him the first international crewmember to be apprehended in a smuggling effort. They are examining his cell phone, and the ship, as of May 7, remains in San Lorenzo.

The police are still trying to corroborate the story told by the cook and determine key points such as when the drugs were loaded onto the ship. They began reviewing three days of videos from the San Lorenzo port. Some media reports are saying they found traces of salt water on the bales, which corresponds to the story told by the cook that the bales came aboard while they were anchored in Montevideo, but the police are suspicious that the drugs would have been loaded on an inbound ship.

Watching the news... I don't know why China didn't pull the rare earths card earlier like with Biden. Look at how the Western world and their allies (many hostile to China) are talking how their industries are going to grind to a halt because of how dependent they are on China to supply them. China ain't gouging them. China isn't the one who first tried to weaponized economics and trade to force other to align with their interests. As a warning, they said China would deny supply chains first but that was about having an excuse to do it to China before it was done to them. It was no different then to what Trump is doing now.

If the Democrats win the White House in the next Presidential cycle, you think they will think twice over US anti-China policies that don't work just because it was Trump? Biden followed what Trump did. When it comes to foreign policy they're not that different mentally. When it comes to US allies, they followed Biden to their own detriment. So the only difference between Biden and Trump was they were amiable to Biden... mental breakdown and all.

So what if the West finds alternatives to China. It won't be cheaper anytime in the foreseeable future. It will always be more expensive and China will be able to destroy the competition just by flooding the market with their reserves. The only way they can avoid China is by violating a whole bunch of human rights and most of their soft power hiding behind superior high morals, ethics, and the rule of law gets thrown out the window and that's the only thing they have to get the world not to get revenge on them for their crimes of the past.

A good amount of these stories are coming from Indian sources and how their industries are threatened by not having access to Chinese rare earths. Their problem goes on a lot further than China's general export stop on rare earths to the world. Did they expect to hide behind the world complaining about non-access so they can still get rare earths? How about whining like they did complaining that China was undermining India's Apple iPhone production by not shipping Chinese manufacturing equipment so they can make iPhones for Apple? And I found this tidbit that Chinese are suppose to go to India and train their workers on making iPhones. China is not obligated to do any of that. China is their enemy by their own decree but somehow China is suppose to help them for some reason...

I don't know if this gem is true but there was talk that Western companies in order to avoid China's general export restrictions is they'll have to move their companies to China to manufacture. The very thing Trump wanted the world to be forced to do bringing their manufacturing to the US. Wouldn't that be a turn?

So, what's not real? Tomorrow there'll be a meeting in London to negotiate further trade deals. But by now, it's an exchange of the two sides. Though both operations, no matter issuing licenses or opening student visas, can be rolled back in a sec if one side is not happy in the coming days. However, students are not as strategically significant as rare earth. Also, RE is out of control from China once it's abroad, but visas of several insignificant Chinese students are always in US' control.

This has been talked about already and you need to read more than the headlines, this instance is China giving permit for Chinese RE exporters to start review and submit purchase applications by US automakers, they still need to pass review. The squeeze to date wasnt from a ban, it was due to 2/3 of applications being held up over sanction compliance.

China's export control system was set up to prevent sanctioned entities, i.e. western military from getting anything, but also to prevent stockpiling. The system require buyers to provide tracing and procedures to prove where each magnet will end up, if destination is stockpile or suspecious motors it'll be rejected, if destination is specific vechile with VIN provided it will be aporoved.

Export control isnt a ban, anyone who can prove compliance will and has been given approval, the hold up has been from western companies who struggle to prove compliance, due to either time or they actually do stockpiling. The only thing China said it'll do here is to priortize review of US applications, theres no change in export control requirements.

If anything this system killed off the entire RE stockpilling business

Trump: trade wars are good, and easy to win.

After full and complete Taiwan reunification should be the only way rare earths are exported again. Forget EUV, EDA, AI chips, jet engines, etc. Rare earth card need a far bigger prize than a bunch of technologies which China will be self-sufficient in soon. Only Taiwan reunification.

Chinese rare earths should not feed the Western military industrial complex which is preparing for war against China. Rare earth ban can buy Chinese industry and military critical time to develop new weapons and build scale, after which point it reached the point of no return for the West to wage war on China. West will stockpile rare earths the instant China allows exports. They can promise it’s for automobiles and divert it to their weapons manufacturers.

Also India should get none. Absolutely nothing. They have nothing China needs and China should never help build up an extremely hostile enemy.

My understanding is danmei writers were using a Taiwanese website called Haitang to publish their work and make profit off them, and I'm talking five digit RMB amount of profit in some cases. So when you have that kind of money flowing from Taiwanese banks to individual bank accounts in China it gets picked up by national security apparatus as potential payments for espionage. Police gets alerted and they investigate and find actually those ladies aren't spies for ROC they're just writing BL porn stories.

Police officers hate it when they spend time investigating and find nothing and thus waste their time. Seen as there are law on the books for publishing pornographic works police would have thought we might as well book them for that so our effort isn't wasted and we can tick off some KPI, hence why this wave of crackdown looks like it was focused on BL writers.

If you were writing explicit danmei but putting it up for free on places like AO3/Lofter it doesn't seem like you'll get into trouble. (not that that's not against the law, just police has no reason to investigate you and they can't be stuffed) That's how you know it's not targeting at BL in general but an side effect of something else.

You're right. So that means that the Jai Hinds are still gonna celebrate that they have the "highest" railway bridge in the world when the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge opens.

Well good for them. It took them more than 20 years to build that Chenab Bridge with only a single rail line. Their ego needed something "world beating" to celebrate. Their next megaproject could be decades away.

I was looking at a picture of it. There was only one track.

It had to be fake.

Now, it is really is real.

Just like how U.S. made and built vehicles are supposed to be "TOUGH" AND QUALITY right? Lol

It is my understanding that American made cars from the big three GM, Ford, and Crysler which is defunct for decades, those cars were always crap.

Some really old people would tell stories of how their dad back in the 1950's would keep a pencil and small notebook in the car, and jot down notes of what was wrong with the vehicle while they were driving with the family.

The quality has always been bad with American made cars. Nothing ever changed with that.

All these new Chinese cars, that is going to be interesting, to see how long they last before going kaput.

Indian cope about China is endlessly entertaining, but it gets old after a while. I feel like I lose IQ points just reading their drivel. They aren't even peer of China, it's like dunking on an autistic, even if you win, you kinda lose.

Okay, honest, this is a true story.

I too once looked closely at the Indians.

It was way back, before the internet existed, other than being a US military project.

So I had to look and read all these books in the library.

These books, about Indian development, mostly written in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's, the books in the latter decades, the lamenting and anguish that China had already exceeded them was palatable.

This is was straight out of those old books, what is referred to as cope nowadays.

Needless to say, since those days, I never really followed anything out of India that closely.

Nothing has ever changed in India, since ...

It is so long ago, no one even knows.

Any advancements, all foreign.

Same old story. Some old coping mechanisms. Some old India.

The only new thing I expect for India is that it breaks apart with their disgruntled minorities.

Lose a major war, and India could be no more.

Taiwan isn't for anyone to bargain and RE export should not have any relation to it.
The situation has already been made fairly clear by the west: they want China to cease development and forever be subservient to them.
Which means the only goal China has is to end western development, lock them forever in the 20th century and make the them forever subservient to China.
