I don't think PLAAF can afford two different classes of 6th gen aircraft's. And so far we have not seen J-50 showing features for carrier uses. We will have to wait and see.
Yes PLA can afford it. They can even afford to have a third 6th gen design if they wanted.

You are rehashing an old debate about whether J-SX is for carrier use as well. Check the old pages, but to save you time, it's very, highly, likely to have a carrier version due to its smaller size and maneuverability compared to J-36/J-CX.

the j-50 will eventually replace the j-20 and j-35? or the j-36 will replace the j-35?

Current 5th gen fighters--J-20 and J-35--are serving alongside 4th gen and even 3rd gen aircraft.

Future 6th gen will serve alongside 5th gen and also 4th gen aircraft.

Ultimately the 5th gen fighters are replacing 3rd gen fighters and likewise 6th gen fighters will replace 4th gen fighters.

Everyone has a high-low mix in their force structure because no one has the luxury of forming only high tiers force structure.

The most likely scenario is that the J-XX (there is no such thing as the "J-50") will, along with the J-36, complement both the J-20 and the J-35, contributing, along with the other VLO fighters, to the eventual full replacement of the 4th gen fighters currently in service.

Let's be clear I am talking about PLAAF unlikely to have both J-36 and J-50 in service. You seem to be thinking one in the Air Force and another in the Navy. They are quite different scenarios.

I‘m pretty sure the PLAAF will have Both, but I‘m very much unsure if the PLAN will have the J-XDS.

Why would PLAAF need two different classes of manned 6th gen aircrafts at the same time while pursuing unmanned CCA?

Agreed. Other than the double wheel nose landing gear, J-50 so far has not shown evidence that it is designed wth a CV variant in mind. No launch bar, no sign of tail hook and folding wings. The pilot would be sitting too far behind for arrest landings, too.

The end goal (air dominance) is the same but how they go about achieving it is different.
No question about both being for air dominance. But why would PLAAF need both at the same time? J-50 while being smaller in size, does not appear to be a less expensive one to complement J-36 for a hi-lo combination.
