Looking at the situation facing Pakistan alone, Indians will probably lay eggs if they see the PLA gearing up to fight.China could increase troop readiness at Indian border to draw some attention. That could incentavise deescalation.
Is there a wiki page for the air fight yet? If not there is still one fight the Jai Hinds could win.
Indians have rushed to edit the Wikipedia page on the current Pakistan-India clashes
Among many other false claims, Indians have now written on Wikipedia that 1 Pakistani F-16 and two JF-17s were shot down by India.
– The claim of the downed F-16 originates from an AI generated image on Twitter, and has already been retracted by Indian media.
– The claim of the two downed JF-17s originates from an AI-edited video of a Pakistani military spokesman 'admitting' the losses.
Both claims are so outrageous that even Indian officials are not currently stating any of it.
On the other hand, verified footage and independent analysts have confirmed several of Pakistan's claims.
IMO we still aren't that sure of what China's stance on this matter is other than that vague statement from the FM, if the conflict escalates into a real war will China publicly support Pakistan militarily?
Did I miss posts of the current drone attacks over Jammu & elsewhere in India are denied by Pakistan? As in, Pakistan says they haven't retaliated yet and India is attacking itself. It's so confusing. Why are the Indians doing this? Are they using it as a pretext to escalate further, as in some kind of a false flag?
Username don't check out. Both are China neighbors, both nuclear... If the conflict escalade, involvement is a tricky thing, beside destroying both neighbors nuclear deterrence. Cannot let a side win too much. China surely don't want that conflict to escalade and pride loss from losing for India or Pakistan can trigger the worse.
Could China pull a political move to tame the situation ? Hard to tell, Chinese weapons are in use right now on the front.
The perspective I'm inclined to believe is that China doesn't want the conflict to escalate too much—even if there may be some military benefits—because we need to focus our attention on other priorities such as the economy, the trade war, and that certain southeastern island.
