Pakistan army chief says 26 civilians killed in Indian strikes

Pakistan’s army chief has said that 26 civilians died in India’s strikes overnight. Additionally, a further 46 were injured.

That’s a significant jump from the eight that were being reported earlier in the day. It’s unclear where the deaths are being reported from and if this figure encompasses casualties from cross-border shelling throughout the night.

Pakistan’s army chief has said the country will respond to India at a “time, place, means of our own choice”.

At least 8 killed in Pakistani shelling on Poonch in Kashmir, official reports

At least eight Indians were killed and 29 others wounded in the town of Poonch in Kashmir, close to the de facto border with Pakistan, a local Indian government official said.

There are rumors that 3 of the kills were AA and two in Punjabi were HQ-9.

This is a list and map of the nine targets that Indian forces reportedly struck in Pakistan last night.

Looking at the geography, got to wonder if the alleged IAF lose(s) over the Punjab was partially a result of the IAF "overstretching" itself in order to reach more distant targets within Pakistan, in particular

This is really it.

Only India would waste first offensive mover advantage of the attacker to bomb some civilian targets.

Really, are they idiots? First strikes are always military to degrade their capabilities and to keep them on the back foot while continuously being able to expand your military advantage

They really wasted their surprise move on some non-critical infrastructure civilian targets

Imagine if China kick-started the war against Taiwan, by bombing a few building blocks lmao

The only conclusion is that India is arrogant enough to believe that Pakistan won’t retaliate
