Looks like the British are demanding unrestricted access to every single Apple user. Worldwide that is.
I hope this goes through - it would vindicate Huawei on a global scale and cause users to ditch iphones like they were toxic.

Eventually they will go the way of Sony smartphones - only used by those that have to, like government employees

As guy who live outside China but use 4+ China market only phone i think i have somewhat full view of this topic. In China mainland market the phone don't need/install any Google apps/service long time ago. Which means China can ditch Android for years. In mainland i hope Mr Xi forcing those smart phone manufacturer install Harmony OS on their phone or aleast create one subbrand use Harmony os only. For iOS the banana in Government and normal banana citizens worship Apple is thing need to dealing with. Aleast ban all China government officials use Apple device is necessary imho. The global market is more complicated when user is too much depend on Google apps/service. Like i am. I want buy and support Huawei but end up with Honor phone instead. Yeah it Huawei lite but it have near full Google service so i made compromise.

The persuader attempts to convince the respondent to comply by making a large request that the respondent will most likely turn down, much like a metaphorical slamming of a door in the respondent's face. The respondent is then more likely to agree to a second, more reasonable request, than if that same request is made in isolation. Except Trump is so good at wielding this simple weapon that he doesn't need to make a second request. [...]"
