Hmmm, that seems like a good way for Russia to use up all that rupee from oil sale, as long as India is welling to sell and the quality is fine.
On the other hand India is going to cop an earful from the west.
It is a good way for the Russians to get the money back. If it is true. I doubt what this article says is accurate.
India does have its own T-90 tank factory. They license build the engines, the tank, and nearly everything is made in India. They only import things like thermal imaging systems from France. But I am certain the Russians have their own to put in the tanks. The Indians are the largest operator of the T-90 and they operate over a thousand of them. The vast majority of them were built in India under license.
Indian artillery is also okay. But they use the 155mm NATO caliber. So that won't be of much use for the Russian Army. However they could still export explosives. India is also the world's largest cotton producer and that can be used as feedstock to make explosives.
The factory India built with Kalashnikov to make AK-203 rifles is also operational. So that could be another thing the Indians could export if they wanted to.
Time to reset that Boeing counter; spin that wheel, is it gonna be whistleblower suicide, assassination or Boeing crash, or compartment falling off?
I think people are overreacting a bit. In the sense that these sorts of incidents are more frequent than people assume. It is just that they are typically not mentioned at all. Unless there are fatalities you usually don't hear about airplane incidents.
But the first Boeing whistleblower who died did claim while he was still alive that it was quite likely that Boeing's business practices to cut down costs by reducing inspections and quality control would only start manifesting them fully this decade. As the airplanes start failing due to poor construction. So he could have been right.
Putin may visit Vietnam after Beijing. Would be interesting to see if this happens, because it would be the latest signal of Vietnam's foreign policy shift toward China/Russia.
Vietnam has been buying more and more weapons from other countries than Russia. Israel, South Korea, and other places. A lot of the Vietnamese military equipment is kind of old. So this is a good export opportunity. For example they could try selling the Su-57.
