I don't know what planet @pmc is living to able to write that s.. T about U.S./Mexico relationship that positively. It's clear the man isn't living nowhere near inside North America. I wish your enthusiasm to be correct so that these Mexican invaders the Republicans talk about so much would become irrelevant.
I bought tires very high end and guess they were manufactured in Mexico. or the Pentagon that wanted to reopen Mexico earlier during Covid so that arms factories can start.
The people coming on border may not be Mexican but most likely democrat want those people from other parts of the world. Trump at most will enforce the border but the flow of investments will continue including EV factories. Mexico will become either No1 or No 2 auto exporter. Mexico is wealthy country with some of highest FDI and highest paid tourism going there.

This is a country that took in Nazis by the bundle, what do people expect? Argentina is fundamentally a "white power" country and it shows. In another point, I remember telling people that BRICS expansion has to be strategic, by including a country like Iran you'll raise suspicions about it and will lend credence to western claims that it's an anti-democratic club. Iran is not necessary when you already have Saudi Arabia. Didn't see the point of Ethiopia either when you have Nigeria, the largest country in Africa and it's largest economy.
Most of BRICS is democratic tho? At least one of them is very loudly saying it at all times, most others fulfil the criteria but don't always screech about it.
If BRICS becomes another Warsaw Pact or Comintern or Cominform or whatever then I'm afraid it will be a pointless alliance. It should not be openly anti-west but rather make clear its members are countries who desire a forum for the Global South to address issues and strengthen trade and diplomatic bonds. The west's propaganda against BRICS hasn't worked so far because it had no avenue to use to attack it. I can understand including Saudi Arabia, it's oil rich. I can't understand including Iran at this time though, what will this over sanctioned country bring to the table besides liabilities? I'm not against Iran joining BRICS but it's best to wait it out. I wouldn't underestimate the western media if I were you, it is still very powerful and has a grip on the minds of many.
Iran is also resource rich. It's also population rich. Also where do you read that Iran is sanctioned by China? The only things China refuses Iran is standard stuff it would refuse to give anyone but highly trusted partners, and Iran has yet to develop the relationship that far.

So Iran, with no relevant UN nor Chinese sanctions, is a perfect candidate to join.

The west's propaganda against China's bloc doesn't work, because the requisite hard power is not there. Not for a lack of trying though. Tied up in other conflicts of China and Russia's design, the west can do nothing but watch on the sidelines as resource rich areas are swayed into an economic coalition for future deterrence against western attacks on our interests.

Compromise is for appeasers, as the strongest defense the world has against western threats, China should take as much as possible and give nothing back to the west.

Westoid on Opioid moment

Macaron personally designed the Type 054B as La Merde Class and the SeePeePee Gee stole it from the Louvre.
I personally see more 055 in 054B than FREMM. And the latter 2 designs are not comparable in purpose and role anyway. The 054B is an ASW-focused ship for a navy that has 055 and 052DL (with their successors already being work-in-progress). FREMM is a destroyer in all but name. It serves as the first tier surface combatant.

Note: Horizon classes are, in many ways, less capable than FREMM frigates despite their destroyer designation in the French Navy. France canceled 2 ships from the Horizon class in favor of more FREMMs.

How the re-adoption of 100 mm has anything to do with the French?
Sutton is going for a speedrun on ruining his credibility (whatever of it he has remaining anyway)

I thought the "China sub accident!" fiasco would have taught him a valuable lesson on how great power (being a public person viewed as a credible PLA-watcher) comes with great responsibility but alas, it seems it hasn't.

This also proves that he is just phishing for clicks with no integrity for his "professionalism"

Likely getting some of that western "military industrial complex" money either from access, speaking engagement, consulting etc...
