The true sign of influence, when people name a doctrine after you.
A true sign of mental retardation, when you do it yourself.

I guess it’s not a matter of books, but seemingly a perpetual cycle of groupthink. People that want to get into those jobs have to get into the think tanks. You’re only getting into those think tanks if you’re super hooked on Red, White and Blue Kool-Aid. Imagine being in a job interview and saying “I think the CCP is doing a pretty good job…”

Mexico has been screwing things together for Americans for ages. Soft power? Did you hear the American politicians that think a military invasion to stop their own drug problem is a fine idea?
I don't know what planet @pmc is living to able to write that s.. T about U.S./Mexico relationship that positively. It's clear the man isn't living nowhere near inside North America. I wish your enthusiasm to be correct so that these Mexican invaders the Republicans talk about so much would become irrelevant.

Good luck to all the Argentinians who elected this nutcase to the presidency.

This is a country that took in Nazis by the bundle, what do people expect? Argentina is fundamentally a "white power" country and it shows. In another point, I remember telling people that BRICS expansion has to be strategic, by including a country like Iran you'll raise suspicions about it and will lend credence to western claims that it's an anti-democratic club. Iran is not necessary when you already have Saudi Arabia. Didn't see the point of Ethiopia either when you have Nigeria, the largest country in Africa and it's largest economy.

Nigeria did apparently not apply though.

As for Iran, there's already Russia in BRICS, so adding Iran really might not change all that much.

So what if BRIC is an anti-democratic club? The Western media can say whatever BRICS is with or without evidence, as if they care about the truth.
Nigeria is not a stable country, and with its upcoming war against Niger, BRICS didn't want to send a wrong message by inviting it.

If BRICS becomes another Warsaw Pact or Comintern or Cominform or whatever then I'm afraid it will be a pointless alliance. It should not be openly anti-west but rather make clear its members are countries who desire a forum for the Global South to address issues and strengthen trade and diplomatic bonds. The west's propaganda against BRICS hasn't worked so far because it had no avenue to use to attack it. I can understand including Saudi Arabia, it's oil rich. I can't understand including Iran at this time though, what will this over sanctioned country bring to the table besides liabilities? I'm not against Iran joining BRICS but it's best to wait it out. I wouldn't underestimate the western media if I were you, it is still very powerful and has a grip on the minds of many.

Nigeria isn't any more unstable as Ethiopia that has an actual war or just had an actual war. Where did you get your information about Nigeria's so called instability from? What wrong message will BRICS send by inviting it? Is it because a lot of people feel a potential Nigeria led ECOWAS intervention in Niger is western sanctioned? It goes back to this game of turning BRICS into an openly anti-west organization, like I've said it won't be smart to do so.
