Jai Hind! India Superpowar!

Exactly the kind of mentality that will prevent India from progressing to the next level of development.

That Jai Hind journalist couldn't help but take pot shots at the Russian Space Agency's failed moon mission. He hinted that that's because Russia chose to work with China on moon exploration instead of India. He is also proud that because of Russia's snub, India have instead chosen to sign an MOU with JAXA and NASA for lunar exploration. But what he is most proud of is that India can pull off this space mission at only a fraction of the budget of any other space agencies. I think that Indian probe on the moon is probably not as capable as what others put on the moon.

Nevertheless. For Indians to cry "We are a Superpower now!" is very amusing indeed. There is another Asian country that have 5x the economy of India have a already been doing manned space flights for decades, have built a space station, have landed a lunar probe on the dark side of the moon, have landed a rover on Mars, and have quantum communication satellites. That country have never called itself a superpower.

India may have a space program. But India's human development is actually regressing. It's people are becoming more religious, anti-science, and intolerant to minorities. Then they are so quick to call India a Superpowar, and have the cheek to belittle other nations. This is how they will limit their development in the long term.

Agreed, same with all these niche (internationally speaking) American franchises. Popeyes, Wendy's, Taco Bell. Even Burger King and KFC are pretty average when it comes to the things they're supposed to be good at.

Mcdonalds are still the king of American fast food.
KFC is just average. Lotteria( Korea copy KFC) is meh. I prefer Jollibee.

Surprise, surprise (not). Final agreement on BRICS expansion is delayed by India

JOHANNESBURG, Aug 23 (Reuters) - A deal to expand the BRICS group of leading developing countries appeared stuck in eleventh hour negotiations at a leaders summit on Wednesday, threatening to undermine the bloc's ambition to give the "Global South" more clout in world affairs.
An agreement had been meant to be adopted following a plenary session earlier on Wednesday, but the source said it had been delayed after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced new admission criteria.
The BRICS country official said that admission criteria India's Modi proposed included requiring members not be the target of international sanctions, ruling out potential candidates Iran and Venezuela.

Modi was also pushing for a minimum per capital GDP requirement.
"These are the things Modi brought in today," the official said. "So they are becoming a little bit of a spoiler."
