So I was watching the news early morning and there was an interview with an US evangelical Christian official. He was saying that they're facing a new kind of Republican in the church where they're confrontational accusing church officials of teaching wokeism. Priests and pastors have to answer that they're the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I guess that's why you have devote Republican Christians pushing these latest UFO conspiracies. They're all heretics against the Christian God because there is no alien extraterrestrial intelligent life according to traditional Christian beliefs. Just like they can't explain dinosaurs or the Chinese. So what makes them believe in aliens? Because they think they're white people under make-up like in the movies? That has to be the case because look at their negative reactions to black elves and dwarves in the Amazon Lord of the Rings show. They find kindred souls in people with pointy ears as opposed to those with slanty eyes or being naturally shorter? They're a bunch of hypocrites.

Is this MAGA guy’s postings reprehensible? Definitely yes. But I don’t think it warranted him getting gunned down, in a botched arrest with no warrant no less. He is just a mouth cannon spouting off dumb nonsense. If what he did is death worthy then half of the Jai Hind netizens will probably be genocided.

What's the alternative then, to just ignore him? You think he should be able to make actual death threats and not even have a policeman knock on his door? Is there any country in the world where this happens that is not a failed state?

He's a 300lb barely mobile 75 year old yet managed to be a carer for his blind son? How does that work? He should have tried robbing a bank, because he deserves an immunity from being shot apparently.

Hot take but I don't think this will change anything. The kids who put in the effort to succeed right now will study by themselves to make up for the class time loss. The kids who are already failing likely use their class time inefficiently and will only be marginally affected by the reduction in class time.

I think you are underestimating the effects of nurture. What will actually happen is that the rich will sign their kids up for afterschool classes and prep schools, while the poor will be left out. Based on level of work hours in the US neither type of parents has much personal time to care for their children out of school. But hey, private tutoring to make up for lack of free public education increases GDP, right? It's a boost for domestic consumption for Murica!

Us is starting to look closer and closer to South Korea in more ways than one. With some India mixed in as well.

I’m not saying he should get off scotch free. Just arrest him and put him away for a couple of years but do so with a warrant.
