Yes and looks like you had a "front row" seat, were you as impressed by the F-35 fit and finish as I am, it looks almost "organic", I did not ask to jump the rope and "feel", but I will next time... I was at Scott AFB, and they had an F-35A two ship there a little over a year ago....

Just impressed over all. F-22s were one thing... having BOTH F-22s and F-35Bs in the same place was mind boggling. i didnt expect it. I could actually see them side by side... not to mention the F-35B being a contender for our own Air Force.

I was very impressed as well, I was able to talk to "Klepto" the F-22 jockey, very, very nice kid, related that pulling -2 to -3 Gs was extremely miserable and disorienting for everybody, but 9Gs positive was all good, he really like the F-35, like my "Alien Bird" nickname for the F-22, but didn't think much of my "ThunderHoggeII" for the F-35...

I'm supposing they had the pilots standing around greeting people, I went to the Airshow at Scott summer before last and there were several air-policemen with M-4s guarding the rope line..... doesn't seem to be much security where you are???

The area itself is quite small compared to airshows overseas and is actually quite secure. Alot of foreign government personnel around too, our government wont take a chance. If there is security, its not for the planes, its for the people. Besides the Marines were more than happy to engage the public (took a Terminal Lance pic if you know that means) and the barriers were more than enough to deter people from corssing the line and touching the birds haha.

actually I'm not familiar with the term brother, I'm the Air Force Brat, but as you may know, I am very, very, proud of the Marines for standing up the most complex version of this airplane first, by the way, one of my neighbor kids is on the Essex, maintaining the F-35B, I'm looking forward to yacking with him when he gets home....

Glad you were able to visit with the troops, and no doubt they were very polite and informative, they are indeed people to be proud of and trust...

oh, and I am following you, I hope we will continue to see more of you, SDF needs faithful, polite men to kind of bring it back to ground, I'm very hopeful, I see a lot of members upping their game and coming back to their own proud raising, and showing a lot more respect to one another, I'm very hopeful..

Gentlemen, I hope each of you have a Blessed Thanksgiving....

The Marine maintenance crew was flown down too and it was their 1st time in Singapore. They needed recommendations for a watering hole ;) It was great to meet Marines, we normally get Navy guys here.
