I suspect the 053H1s may be retired en masse at some point.
SAAB family affair.
Saab 340 AEW, Gripen and the RTN Naresuan. The Naresuan is a rare Chinese-Western hybrid, an export Type 053H3 that is converted completely to American and Swedish electronics and weaponry. It uses a Saab Sea Vixen radar, Harpoons and an 8 cell set of Mk. 41 VLS. Just in case if you don't know a VLS can be fitted in that ship.
Three frigates on Yellow Sea live firing exercises. Type 053H3 is 564 Yichang.
A long time export, Egyptian frigate Najim Al Zafer, a Jianghu 1, exercising with DDG 51 Arleigh Burke in the Mediterranean.

"522" 053H3 being refitted. In the background, two Type 071 and one 054A are being fitted.
Type 053/H3 "521" and "522" being refitted to be transferred to the Bangladesh Navy. Would explain the picture above.
These are the two oldest Type 053H3 in PLAN service. Bangladesh Navy already got two Type053H2 in 2014 so they should have less operational and maintenance issues when putting successors into service.
Huaihua 566 Type 053H3 after the upgrade.

Upgrade? Turned into coast guard ship? Or is she just going to be given away to some country?
it seems that it is no longer destined to Cambodia, but from the pennant number P-625 should go to Sri Lanka, the number P-625 continues the numbering adopted by the navy of Colombo for its naval units of higher tonnage.
can someone confirm?
