Data linking J-10s and such with advanced comm systems and equipping fighters with advanced radars in existing platforms can provide much of the same combat performance of the F-22 formation-wise. The data integration is far more important than the actual platform itself.

I heard the same about the Su-35 and Rafale F3. These aircrafts are also capable to win against either the F-22 or JSF. But in such contests or training campaigns, be sure that these aircrafts don t use or show off their latest and most advanced configurations...

I know the F-22 is superb, but I wouldn't say it's invincible or anything near that. Here are two forums talking about the Eurofighter Typhoon doing surprisingly well against the F-22. No specifics (boooh), just general statements.

The EA-18G Growler can kill the F-22.

I did learn the EA-18G kill was courtesy of a well-timed AIM-120 AMRAAM shot. And I learned the simulated combat exercise took place at Nellis AFB. How the EA-18G escort jammer got the shot, and whether its jamming system played a role in the incident were not questions the pilot was prepared to answer.

Nothing is invincible. Everything has a weakness.

The F22 is superior to all 4th gen aircraft, especially in radar and detectability, which are vital

Add that to the US's EW and info gathering network and it will dominate the sky, other 4th gen aircraft will have to get closer to detect and fire on it, which will allow for f22 to fire missles first. To kill f22s supported by E3's etc one will need to have superiority in numbers.

Friendly AWAC's will be high priority targets and supercruising f22 will try to take them out, can chinese AWAC's detect f22's at 300km and coordinate air pratols to intercept before f22s fire amraams to take out the AWAC?

Also the f22 is here and operational now, some people talk about other countries having AESA radars, but which country will have 100-200 AESA equiped fighters in 10 years time? Russia will try but they havent made many aircarft in the last 10 years, looks like china might, they are building aircraft very fast

US is planning 3000 f35's, but i think that will be cut to 1000, working with the f22's i think they will superior for the next 20years

I like chinese students... full of dreams, full of patriotism...
But often with a lack of arguments...:D

The known JXX program is what Student is referring to. It's definitely not a dream, so don't confuse your lack of knowledge as somebody else's dreams.Thanks. :)

Did I say something else?! If I have lack of knowledge on it, well I am eager to get some more details on it from this guy, if you don t mind.
;) It s a Discussion board, isn't it?

Two decades ago no one would dream that China will be a world power. Two decades later China will be a leader in aviation i.e J-XX. US has never fought a worthy opponant. It just takes on poor people and poor countries like Iraq Afganistan etc. The day US goes to war with a comparable country the world would see how good the F-22 realy is. :china:

Please Student, we all should pray that this day never comes! :(

Full scale war between major powers in the 21st century would be of unimaginable destructive force reducing the horrors of World War II to a footnote of history.

This is a terrible criticism/argument. Believe it or not, there is at least one comparable opponent to US: the US itself. In Electronic Warfare, a radar pulse is as lethal as a missile. The only difference is that no one dies when detected by radar. For the F-22, radar is supposed to be avoided. This aircraft flies with transponders to assist air traffic controllers throughout the country and the world. The transponder also mask its true RCS value. Have no doubt that we had on many occasions turned off those transponders just to see how close can we get to a ground radar station before detection. Yes...The F-22 can be detected by radar. We have never said it is 'invisible'. But the issue is distance and how close to the target can we get before the laws of physics overwhelm the aircraft. To date, by the time an opponent's radar detect the F-22, the pilot has long since weapons released and on his way to exit.
