my prediction is this

CV-16 and CV-17 with 24 x J15

CV-18 and CV-19 with EMALS with 36 x J15

and as of now seems like CVN 100,000+ tons project is on hold over technical issues

but I would say

CVN-20 and CVN-21 with 48 x J15 or FC-35
For CV-16 and CV-17 there’s no need to predict. They have been confirmed that CV-16 can carry 24 J-15s, whereas the newly commissioned CV-17 carries 36 J-15s.

I’m not gonna disagree on CV-18 and 19 nothing has been confirmed yet. But I have a feeling they might carry more than CV-17 can.

Finally, no one has confirmed anything about the existence of 100k+ ton carriers yet. So I don’t know where the statement of “as of now seems like CVN 100,000+ tons project is on hold over technical issues” come from...

..

Both carriers have the same size and same number of aircraft.

Even more since such calculations are plain academic as long as there are only less than 24 J-15s.

yes, but CV-17 has been optimised (a lot) and have larger hangar ... actually quite different AC
Even the hangars have the same size.

This discussion has been started over and over again, the hangar of the Shandong has not grown from it, and the discussion is off-topic in this thread. There may be two additional parking positions on the flight deck near the island, nothing more.

Great .... I knew only the slightly paler version. :)
Not so much activity, no machines to install , only metal plates and blocks.

It doesn't looks like as a ship building workplace , but as a welding place for metal structures.

At this stage there should be lot of heavy metal piece, like generators, turbines, heat exchangers , boilers and so on everywhere.
