Head
The "head" aboard a Navy ship is the bathroom. The term comes from the days of sailing ships when the place for the crew to relieve themselves was all the way forward on either side of the bowsprit, the integral part of the hull to which the figurehead was fastened.

My father started as an Ensign, but became a full LT in Word War II. He was the commanding officer of an LCI...after being the navigation officer for an LCI flotilla.

You can imagine some of the talk (not to his face) regarding Lt. Head! LOL!

Sea trials in October would be very fast turn around.

We shall see...and time will tell.

But the PLAN has shown itself very effective in building, outfitting, and making operational their new ships.

Exactyl Jeff my friend! So....where are my doubters and haters at? I remember an article written by an Indian saying China doesn't have the tech to build a carrier all by itself 100%. Well look at her now!

What would be the purpose of 27/ fitting out the ship? Rapid outfitting will lead to mistakes. Is China on a war footing? Nope...China is on a great pace on building and outfitting this ship. I'm almost sure we shall see the ship at sea before the end of this year. Large warships require great patience in construction.
