Last year in October 2015 we didn't even identify construction start of a carrier and here we are 10 months later !! Wow
End of May 2015 we recognized the underwater torpedo protection system of a carrier and two weeks later we saw the clear layout of Kuznetsov-type engine-/boilerrooms. At that moment it was clear that the hull would become a second Liaoning.

ueh... It was just the moment the flight deck was installed that everybody thought it was clear.
Before that there where endless discussions that it could be something else.
More like the start of 2016 or end 2015...

Here's how she looked in May-June 2015:

It was months later, when she reached the stage of beginning to build out the hangar, that I personally called it as for sure a carrier:

...and then of course this summer, when we saw the ski-jump in the shed and ready to be lifted onto the carrier itself, that it was clear beyond all doubt that this was (as the Chinese were saying at the time) that this was a second Liaoning, STOBAR:

Working like clock work !

2 X STOBAR
2 X CATOBAR

This will ensure 1 STOBAR and 1 CAROBAR on station 24/7

Also STOBAR can do regional patrols CATOBAR can do the international patrols for which they require over sea bases

4 carriers could only ensure less than 2 carriers on station. You would need 6 or 7 for 2 carriers on station 24/7/365.

It was on 21 JUN 2015:

Going by the context and your prior and subsequent posts, here you guys are still debating whether or not it's actually an aircraft carrier being constructed, not even that it's a Varyag-type carrier. I see you making the case for a carrier, though not for a Varyag carrier.
