Exactly....have night ops happened? Or when will this happen?..Seems to me after operating the ship for 4 1/2 years we would see night ops...

According to Admiral Yin Zhuo, who said on CCTV program "Focus Today" yesterday, PLAN had conducted night-ops during the most recent Liaoning outing in February. It was not a tongue slip, he repeated it several times during the discussion with the host when they talked about the new achievements in carrier operations that PLAN accomplished during this outing. There were no vids or pictures, so we'll have to wait until they're ready to release them in the future if that indeed happened.

Thank you. It's been a couple of months since this event took place..we are all still waiting for the photos.

And before anyone gets wise I do not doubt the PLAN is capable of doing night ops aboard CV-16..not at all. I just want to see the photos so my MK1 MOD0 eyeballs can observe what the PLAN has accomplished with night ops aboard CV-16.

according to the interview, the chef of that canteen is a Han, the food is freshly made. You can also hear that both the captain of Liaoning and the interviewer stressed "Ethnic Canteen". That is a indirect statement to say what it is not.

The conversation went like, (interviewer)"this is the ethic canteen?", (Captain)"yes, it is our ethic canteen". He did not omit the adjective.

According to the captain, there are 10 canteens, this one is the smallest serving about 25 people. Specially report one small canteen in the 43 mins program says something.

As deft said in #974. The topic (back then) was whether that canteen (named 清真餐厅 back then) is really qualified to be called halal. One particular non-Chinese member insist that it is not halal by standards in the middle east, not even according to Muslims from US. While I tried to tell that it is called 清真 which is a Chinese translation originated from halal but its meaning has changed greatly within China. What ever it is called or means outside of China is not a concern of PLAN. During the course, that member got excited and accused first me then other members of something that I still don't know what.
