Its older brother - 730 - has proved with a short growl, a boat full of terrorists reduced into a collection of chunky bits.

Yeah, and maybe they should think about how to retrieve those spent casings instead of weeing them into the sea just like that.

In combat no one cares about the recycling, just survive.:D

I hope they find a better way then the Goalkeeper ciws.
We have to unload it from shells and reload BY HAND.
We have a reserve drum HAND FILLED that can reload the main drum very fast.

Sucks ass and makes your hands dirty whahahahaha
However. Me and my co sailor a few years back smashed records. Super fast reload with the 2 of us haha

:eek::eek: When did this happen? I assume it must have been from 054A?
Ask the Pakistani.

It was happened to them in 2014, when some AQ-affiliated cell, with insiders on board the PNS Zulfiquar, tried to hijack the frigate and launch its missiles at the USN fleet. 6 of them, disguised as PN personnel, attempted to approach the ship using a small motored boat. Their AKs (not the standard issue for PN) gave away their disguise and reportedly the frigate's gunnary officer took control of the ship's Type 730 CIWS, aim and fired...what's left for the investigators and cleanup crews is nothing but the terrorists' chunky bits to be scooped out of the water, the result of "losing the argument" with the 30mm gatling gun.

... it's now almost 3 weeks since the last module was added ! Any news on the Island ??

By the way to all and esp. @Jeff Head wouldn't it be a better idea to separate the "CV-16/Type 001 news & operations" from the "CV-17/Type 001A and other carrier development - news & discussions" ? I would prefer to have an individual thread !

What do You think? IMO it's not too late esp. since this new thread is now only 5 pages long.

I second that idea.

Of course, that is how CDF does it, and it makes things much easier.

Also, we should make sure to have clearly different titles so there is no accidental cross posting from misreading titles.
Like one should be "CV-16 Liaoning news and operations" while the other can be "CV-17/001A and other carrier developments".

This is the sort of photo I want to see more of from the PLAN. the sailor with the hose is about to refuel the pictured aircraft. Next I want to see the barricade being rigged...maybe a fire drill.

GREAT Idea...now that we are going to have the second.

However, as time goes on, maybe we will do it by class like we do the US.

Ford Class, Nimitz Class, etc.

But, for right now there is enough interest that we will easily keep both threads going.

A few years from now when we have the two Liaoning Class vessels, and maybe two of the 002 Class vessels we can think about dividing it by class. Right now I like the idea of having CV-16 Liaoning and 001A Separate.
