Well I know that many of those tickets were distributed through auctions online with many happy people buying from all over China after the 'official' part. Just keep them entertained until they will be verified. What can you do...
It was a ball for 'tops of the pops' mainly coming from PRC-friendly families around HK. What did you expect. An average Joe signing prises in Cantonese for PRC?

Yes, the latest survey poll in HK indicates the average Joe opposes independence and supports being part of China.

70% oppose independence for HK
16% support independence for HK

HK is a business city, and there was money to be made by selling tickets.

Somebody has to be around to squash his crap or he will think his posts are right on.
There're even more crap - and of even worse quality - on fb/twitter to mention a few.

Back to topic: while only 2000 tickets for the CV-16 visit, the berthing position is said still visible afar from shore, better if you packed high zoom lens and stuff of course. Think I might give a shot at it tomorrow, see if my Nikon D750 w/ Sigma 150-500mm is up to the task...and weather not this crappy...

The RFA article says
But 30 percent said they were "dissatisfied," while a further 30 percent said they were "so-so," the telephone poll of more than 1,000 residents found.
Telephone polls only reach people with a conventional phone and not a mobile one and so this poll might well be highly unreliable.

The public carrier tour started today, the process looks like:
Visitors board the ship through the forward elevator gate with help of a barge

Then regrouped at the reception and walk through the hangar

Take the aft elevator to the flight deck
