The Mission that frankly Should have ended on disaster over a dozen times. Using a Antique with a untrained crew no maps and not even enough fuel. Sorry Mirage

Soon... My DINObots will conquer the WORLD!!! MUAHAHAH!!!

46 KM/h is very close to the fastest speed a fit human can run. But not too impressed until it can run on uneven grounds and avoid obstacles, as on flat surface you can just use wheels, which was the whole purpose of having cars.

Also would it be able to run on grassy surface, even if relatively flat?

Waiting for the day when they will have entire soccer team out of robots. No more pretending I broke my leg after it was lightly tapped...

The Classic Flying Car. Personally I don't think Flying cars will every really become mainstream but for some parts of the world like Alaska where you need a Aircraft to get around. I can see it.

Could make it difficult for police to stop some cars. Drugs/smuggling issues, potential use for terrorism etc. etc.

That's assuming that the car can transform well in motion, that the pilot can get the side clearance to spread their wings and have a long enough strip to build up enough speed to take off. But if all of those can happen.. Then somebody call the Air national guard.

I had a crazy idea back when I studied at university. It was to do with buying the electronic components and everything required to make a portable FM Boombox Radio with Bluetooth. It was a good idea but didn't turn out very well, had to have two power supplies and I think one of the boards ended up malfunctioning anyway. The only reason why I (and a couple of other people) did this was because we were all interested in electronics.

Moral of the story: if you want a radio or bluetooth speaker etc, buy one off the shelf!

I'm not knowledgeable on launch systems for aircraft and missiles, but is it possible to use a modified Maglev or HSR train to launch scramjet planes and missiles? This could be an alternative and one step behind railguns and EMALS.

It is possible to use maglev as first stage in theory. The problem is such facilities would be static and easily targetable by opposing forces.
You would also need a really long track, too large to put in a ship. IIRC a scramjet only begins to operate at Mach 4. So you would need to speed up to Mach 4 in the ground. Not that easy to do.

At best it might be used to launch civilian payloads or for civilian transport but you would need to have enough of a requirement in terms of number of flights to justify building what would probably be a several km long track. And since you would need to return back to base the destination would also need its own maglev track.

I find it questionable if some ground maglev (HSR I would say 100% impossible) can reach the mach 4 to launch something like that.

Probably easier (and cheaper) to just have scramjet planes (likely unmanned) and missiles be assisted through rockets which might even be fired in the air from say a H6 (in the case for scramjet missiles).

On the other hand, I think there might be a chance we some something like EM cannons launching missiles in the future, and it might be possible to have them launch stuff to mach 4+ which would allow scram missiles to start flying/working.

Basically, the EM cannon taking the place of the maglev train you suggest (I give that more chance compared to using some maglev train).

So I found out about this technology a few months ago, and I thought of an idea for its application.

There's a white version of this shade ball created by an Israel company.

Other than being used in reservoirs to lower water evaporation to increase the efficiency of hydro-electric storage and energy generation. What if it could be used in geo-engineering for climate change using this effect:

Imagine a part of the ocean being covered by massive amounts of white shade balls to reflect the sunlight back into space, although there are some challenges like marine life safety and logistic, it could be one of the more feasible solution in slowing down climate change or even reversing it.

I think Ocean is to large, maybe minor seas like bohai sea or baltic seas, and as you said not to much of it, since aquatic life needs light.

Also White paint is good, but actual maybe cheap mirrors reflect like 99.9% i guess.

In the same way we can cover chinas inland reservoirs, for example those of the north south water transfer project with it to reduce evaporation of water and at the same time reflect.

There is also idea to use concentrated solar power mirrors to heat sea water to desalinate which at least uses the heat of the sun for industrial purposes.

Put some of those im Gobi and built a canal so that sea water from Bohai enters the dome and voila, fresh water.

And from the remaining Brine China can exteact Lithium & Uranium.
