Thanks t2, however, what I want to do is a master-detail REPORT in windows form application, not a web page. If you have more info, please let me know.

Does anyone have an opinion of Microsoft Security Essentials? My computer got screwed because some ad-aware got into my computer and my Kaspersky got rid of it. But apparently it screwed my computer deleting other files as a result. I wiped my computer and reloaded everything but not sure if I should bother with Kaspersky and just use Microsoft Security Essentials. At least it's free but not sure if it's any good. It doesn't seem to slow down getting to the "next" page on the internet like I've experienced with McAfee and Kaspersky.

I'm a user of MSE for quite some time since Windows XP, and continue to use it on my Windows 7. My desktop at office uses Windows 8 and it has Windows Defender built-in. After trying many antivirus software, I come to conclusion that MSE best suits my needs. Mind you that MSE is only capable of detecting virus and spyware (that's is enough for me).

I second everything you just said, except for the part about using it on XP. I used AVG in the dark days of XP.

Try using Spybot, it's free and it's good, just be sure to download the latest version every once in awhile. You can donate money to them or just buy the upgrade yourself (but you not obligated).

Our tech support man here at work says that Microsoft Security Essentials is the best free anti-virus soft ware you can get

At home we have Norton 360..It has never failed us yet.

why I bought my Acer Chromebook!

Did you buy the one with the touchscreen?

I find that Chromebook are snapier compare to tablets, and it has a keyboard and touchscreen depending the model. I played with one in Futureshop. Too bad I am not getting one since I have a smartphone, netbook and a desktop. Planning to replace the desktop since it is 7 years old and I need a gaming rig :p

The marriage between Nokia and Microsoft seems come to an end. In fact, neither of them has a good name in the world of smartphone nowadays.

Microsoft has announced an announcement next week of the first fully-branded Windows Phone smartphone from Redmond. Along with the hash tag #MoreLumia, the blog post highlights the phone’s potential marketing tagline: “Microsoft is delivering the power of everyday mobile technology to everyone.”

Windows 10 is coming, anybody will try it? I'm expecting it coming in February. I'm planning to have a new laptop to replace my Portege R930 but I don't want Windows 8/8.1. So, I will wait until Windows 10 formally released.
