According to an internal source of aircraft manufacturer COMAC, the first airliner means Chinese letter C919 will make its maiden flight by the end of February 2017, three years later than planned.

The device of the first flight, registration B-001A, has already completed several important ground tests in 2016, as the Ironbird testing and avionics, load testing limit to 2.5 g and ignition engine LEAP-1C .

In late December, a number of spotters Chinese city of Shanghai have also photographed the plane doing the running tests.

The C919 is a single-aisle Airbus A320 and similar to the Boeing 737. The basic version can carry up to 168 passengers in economy class and cover a distance of 4075 kilometers with a MTOW of 72,500 kg. The life of the cell is 90 000 flight hours, 60,000 flight cycles or 30 calendar years.

For now, the program has recorded a total of 570 orders from 23 customers , most of whom are Chinese airlines. Thailand's City Airways ordered 10 C919 aircraft in 2015, and other foreign companies as the low-cost Irish Ryanair and the US Eastern Air Lines also signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with COMAC to possibly acquire this aircraft "Made in China".

    To be continued.
