    I can't find a thread on this, so I'm starting a new one. If there indeed is an existing thread, mods please merge them. Thanks.

    Anyway, not much information is floating around on the various Chinese UUV programs. There is however a writeup from the excellent Eastern Arsenal. I'm starting this thread to help collect information on Chinese UUVs, as they are likely to become an increasingly important part of future PLAN arsenal.

    Can they use wind tunnel to simulate water flow and to what extent? Isn't water compressible?

    Sorry a typo there I just noticed, I meant to say in-compressible, and I asked that question because of the pic above where they are testing the UAV in a wind tunnel.

    At low wind speed air compressibility is small. Wind tunnel test have been made for underwater vehicles for scores of years. But water basin/tunnel tests have been made for air vehicles for score of years too.
