Chinese UAV/UCAV development

New UAV? Any idea what model this could be.

Blurry pic, but seem like a predator style UAV with engine on back, but also wings seemed to be swept.

That's interesting. It looks like it has a wing on top. I wonder if it's a box wing design like a minature Soar Dragon.

Huitong made an updated entry saying the UAV is a variant of the BZK-009/WZ-9. He mentioned the Soar Dragon but didn't clarify if it had a box wing design.

If my eyes serve me right, I see a V shape tail fin and single jet engine.

^ More importantly, the wings are high mounted, which I have not seen on any uav before


So there are three global hawk esque HALE's that we've seen over the last few year

this, a seemingly fully global hawk sized uav, the box winged xianglong


and now this uav with high mounted and swept wings

With that size do you think it can carry large AshM?

It looks like a sino-version of the Predator C prototype in overall configuration (mid wing layout, engine and v-tail, as well as overall size) which is designed to carry a larger weapons payload than the Reaper and/or carry weapons internally to maximise stealth when attacking high value targets

thank you for bringing that up

so that's the familiar feeling when i recalled something similar looking to it, and it does look like the Predator C, except for the high mounted wing

edit : now that you have mentioned it, (again!) looking at the blurry picture, it seems to be a mid wing config,
it would perhaps not be the right place to mount wing that high at that position or the illusion of it
