A major saving on the wing structural weight, very important for a high aspect ratio high altitude aircraft. A very advantageous position for the single engine: short intake, short exhaust, no dirty air from a fuselage.

Artist impression. Not sure if the wing is as long as depicted. If you look at the shadow of the pic posted before it seems the front smaller wind is joined at the head rather than slightly further along the body, as similar to how it is shown here.

Looking at the actual photo, and looking at the length of the shadow of both the main wing and forward wings, I think the drawing is about right.

Each of the main wings seem about 3 times the length of the front wing, going by the shadow.

Not sure what you mean the front wing being further along the body; going by the shadow and everything else I think it's about right.
In fact the drawing overall seems quite good imo

shadow of mid fuselage is 3-4 pixels wide. left wing is 27-ish pixels. Shadow of two fuslages and the inner wing is some 16 pixels.
IF the mid point of fuselage is circular (which it very well may not be) and if it's indeed some 1,3m in height as i roughly estimated in another forum - we might get the following numbers:
6 meters for width of two fuselages and the middle wing surfaces, 9,6 meters for length of each wing. Total wingspan some 25 meters.

If the mid point fuselage is, oval-ish, as speculated by the latest drawing, then the shawdow on the ground might reference something closer to 1,5 meters of width. Overall wingspan might in that case approach 29 meters.

I suggest everyone use imgur. If someone is using chrome, they have an extension that allows one to easily reuost most photos online simply with right click+rehost.

imageshack, tinypic, photobucket, etc are all far less convenient than imgur.
