Indeed, I count at least 11 on the line.

Interesting claims from 航空知识 (Aerospace Knowledge) magazine. Apparently, the JL-10 first began delivery to the PLAAF in 2013, where it was very well-received, so the PLAAF increased their order from 80 to 135 aircraft. The most astonishing claim is that the 135 aircraft order will be completed by the end of 2016.

    My questions are:

    1. Does Hongdu have the manufacturing capacity to make 135 JL-10s in just three years?

    2. Why have we not seen JL-10s being proliferated if they have indeed being adopted in such high numbers? Only last year or early this year, members of this forum were questioning the progress of the JL-10 due to lack of pictorial evidence. Is PLAAF OPSEC really this good?

IMO highly unlikely ... we all know that the first JL-10 was flown in 2013 and as such this could probably be the "delivered in 2013"-date ... also possible could be an initial order of 135, but it is IMO completely impossible that by the end of this year already 135 JL-10 were delivered.

    By the way ... Zambian L-15Z no. 1004, 1005 & 1006 + three more JL-10s at Hongdu.

Not sure if a new bird or an "older" prototype, but it seems to act as the FTC-2000G !

They really need to loosen up and let their inner artist out, China is capable of better nose art than this!
