For in demand hi-rise construction projects in the largest cities wages can reach up to 20,000 per month for specialists.

Any gray income is now illegal due to the extended crackdown.

We can see China is looking right down the road of the USN

Carrier, amphibious ships and SSN, PLAN is doing the full spectrum of operations here

Of course and China is wise to do that.. I would say of all the specific branches of military the USN is probably by far the most dominant and capable compared to other nation's individual specific military services.

Even at the height of the cold war the USSR never came close to matching the USN unlike say army or air force.

Personally I think the IJN put a giant scare in the national psyche during WWII. After that we went nuts with the Navy and never looked back.

So THALES did install the SMART-S mk 2 on this ship while still being in China. Not a good move at all..

Why is not not a "good move"? They're a subcontractor for the project, so naturally they'd choose the most efficient way of delivering and integrating their product.
To have a working relationship means a degree of trust and secrecy, if the fear is that China might try to conduct espionage to take information from the SMART-S, well Thales can put in a number of safeguards to minimize the most classified data and access to their partners simply on the basis of retaining their company's property.

China has also worked with western contractors when producing ships for export... the Naresuan class frigates of Thailand were built in China and are equipped with Mk-41 VLS and Mk-45 5 inch gun, all installed at the Chinese shipyard.
