Chinese purchase of Su-35

Simple: just check Sukhoi's website.

A piece of news as major as the Chinese becoming the first customer of the Su-35 would definitely be on their front pages. When the Chinese negotiated with Antonov regarding the An-225, it was reported by the company even at the rumor stage. The fact that Sukhoi has made no mention of the Su-35 deal, even after all these years, is highly indicative of the Su-35 deal being nonexistent.

First of all, Russia is not a friend.
Yes of course, in politics there is no such a thing as friendship between the two countries. But countries may have common interests in a certain period of time. And it is clear, that in this partnership, each country will try to get more and spend less.
But enough of the lyrics. I do not understand, why so many far-reaching conclusions were drawn after the statement, made by the representative of the US-backed NGO? Evgeny Buzhinsky is literally nobody today, just one of those so-called "ex-perts", who know nothing but love to shake the air. Let's wait for the real facts before making conclusions.

First of all, Russia is not a friend.
US cannot offer anything to Russia to make it less than an ally to China, at least as long as US is the hegemon. China will not then become the hegemon. That place will simply no longer exist. Beside Russia and China are neighbours and will develop in ever more important trading partners. There will be no advantage to either to become military rivals just as it doesn't make sense for France to make war on Germany.

Actually just putting this idea out there. It is not that China needed Su-35, they have other fighters out there that can roughly match up with Su-35's capabilities. However, for political sense, I believe it would be a good way to renew China-Russia relationship, buying one hundred Su-35 is giving money to a friend in needs and if China can afford it, why not? Please I really do not believe that Chinese cannot get anything new from Su-35, they can still learn something that might be of great help with upgrading her aging fleet of J-11s.
That sounds so ridiculous. First, China isn't a charity. Second, there are plenty of things more worthy to buy: more used IL-76s, D-30KP engines, more AL-31FN engines, rocket engines, nuclear reactors. In fact, China did buy all those items that I just mentioned. You don't hear about them because they have already been sold with no need for further advertisement. There is a lot of noise associate with Su-35 because the plane is not selling.

This was quite a conversation, HEH ! HEH! then Master Delft HAS TO Criticize the USA? come on guys, really, what are you going to do if Xi and Trump hit it off, and get our partnership "back on track"??? all on the thread that likely has NO basis in reality, I really don't think China wants the SU-35, although its a fine airplane???

China is already making what I consider to be a higher quality airframe, that NO DOUBT is exactly what they want?? they look gorgeous, I wish I had one to play with??? though I would want a two seater! LOL

Guys I know for some this deal is still not fixed as long as they see a Su-35 in PLAAF-colours ... however I'm almost sure it is done and this recent reports is once again BS.

Here reportedly a Chinese pilot in a Su-30M2 in preparation for the Su-35:

Training flights of 2 Su-30M2s & 2 Su-35Ss w/ Chinese pilots are underway. By 10 Su-35s expected in 2017 & 2018

I assume that you were talking about the Russian general's denial of Su-35 contract being signed.

However, regardless the deal being real or not, the photo can not prove anything. It showed three pilots. One in Su-35 with the back of his head visible. The back seat pilot of Su-30M2 was certainly a Russian, the front sea pilot's face is covered by the visor leaving only his chin. It is impossible to tell whether he was a Chinese or Russian.

Agreed ... but IMO it is a Chinese pilot and we all know how unrealiable some Russian reports are and in contrast I know how reliable "KURYER" is. I thrust him.

By the way, we know contracts of the engines and other Chinese-Su-35-related items ... IMO that contract is a fact. For me that case is closed even if I can understand all Your doubts
