One thing I want to say about the C28A if not mentioned before. This is a GREAT milestone for chinese naval shipbuilding.
This class of vessel is built to LR's Rules for Ships which means it's internationally recognize to be of the highest work and conforms to all the naval architecture and requirements of Llyod's Register of Naval vessels.
It basically means that the ships Algeria is getting would essentially be build the same exact way with the same exact materials, components etc than had these ships been built in say Europe, US etc instead of China. Plating thickness, wire standards, pipings. installs etc would all be essentially from the same specifications, types and methods.
To meet those requirements would be quite stringent and no doubt had a massive impact on how they do things in CSCC from program management, supply chain down to dock workers and installers.
If these ships are to serve the Algerian Navy well, CSCC would also garner good reputation for future export orders.
I personally do think the shipbuilding industry in China is and has been good. The only problem they have is from a marketing and reputation standpoint. I think these C28A is a very good start to sway opinions in years to come.
Also anyone noticed there are no stacks? I believe these ships have exhaust port near waterline to reduce IR signature.
