Does anybody know ... how much is VT-1A per unit ?

i believe the quote for the tanks to Peru was $5.8 million each and then Peru said at the end it could not afford paying so much, so then they lowered it to $4.7 million. I guess around that range, really depends on the customization and such.

according to kanwa, china has exported production rights to WS-1B to Thailand. Thailand is the third country to get WS-1/2 after Turkey and Sudan.

Also, looks like China looking to export FT-6, which is a SGB, to Pakistan and other countries as part of JF-17's weapon package.

Also, it says that China has exported MBT-2000 to Morocco (which we already know) and Burma.

Pakistan has received the production license for A-100 MLRS.

It says that China is talking with Morocco about AR-2, but it hasn't been signed yet. (which seems to contradict what we had before)

FT-6? Doesn't Pakistan already have those? And didn't China stop producing those over a decade ago?

I don't know how prevalent WIG aircraft are around the world but I just saw on US national news a story of Iran parading new WIG recon aircraft that looks similar to what China's military has been playing with. The US national media airing such a story only means they must see it as something significant especially since it was mentioned they were radar evading stealth aircraft. Aren't they just low-flying amphibious aircraft?

Chinese engineers are expected to help Iran to mass-produce Azarakhsh and Saegheh fighters based on the Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighter and to upgrade its operational warplane fleet. Chinese specialists are also known to service U.S.-made aircraft at Iran's largest air base, Mehrabad, outside Tehran.

Chinese-Iranian naval cooperation will, most likely, expand in the future. Iran will continue to manufacture speedboats and missiles under a Chinese license. It should be noted that Iran has been trying to expand its naval presence in the Gulf for the past few years by actively developing new types of naval weapons, such as guided missiles and torpedoes, as well as artillery systems. Considering the situation in the Gulf, Iran's plans can only be implemented either by buying or building a sufficiently large number of heavily armed warships.

Moreover, China could help Iran upgrade its Lockheed P-3F Orion anti-submarine and maritime surveillance aircraft.

Why not just buy a production line for the JF-17 from Pakistan?

The JF-17 is a much better option for Iran rather than have the Chinese help them make a re-worked F-5.

It is also very flexible in terms of possible armament and avionics - part of Pakistan's requirement as an option to fix Western and Chinese systems.

Spending more on Iran's F-5 design is a waste of money, and a sop to Iran's domestic technical pride.
